Don, its all about the joebuck wooden hen call. I called at a big tom 200 yards away and he came running and waited for me to shoot. When he saw I didn't have my bow and the season wasn't open, he went and laid down in front of my Jeep and wanted me to run him over. Yeah, John is good, but its all in the call

Sounds like your day was a bit better than mine.I watched him fly down followed by 2 hens and go the other way.No way those hens were letting him come see me. :(

Thanks everyone for the nice thoughts!!!! John Davis and I sure were excited. If turkeys had the ability to scent like deer ...I believe they would be almost imposible to kill. As far as John Davis goes he loves shootin his bow and can't wait to sit in a blind with pops. I can't wait until he gets his first!!!
