Storage of raw wood shafts

I've seen numerous opinions on this.  I store mine upright in a pvc tube.  Any pros and cons on this??  H

That sounds like a good way.........mine are in boxes laid flat, sorted, spined, weighed, straightened, and put away in a dark area with minimum temp and humidity change.

The main things are to keep them in a controlled temperature and humidity environment, and to have them laid flat or straight upright.

I banded mine together with rubber bands (like spines) and lay em flat.

Make sure if storing tapered shafts not to wrap them on the top or bottom 10" of the shaft. Couple of wraps or bands around the midsection will save you a lot of grief later.
Same with cane arrows as they have a natural taper and you can easily distort them in storage by wrapping them too tight.
