roy, the 'they' in mohawk bows is vince.  period.  if you could pony up the deposit in order to get on the build queue, you'd have more than a fair amount of time for when the remainder is due.  i dunno what the current build time is, but my guess - and it's a guess - is 2 months or more.  check with vince.

Hey MUDD, is that a pigeon pen in the backround? Looks like mine but mine has homers in it.

It used to be a pigeon loft. I got tired of feeding coons, hawks and cats so I got rid of my homers.

Good eye for detail..lol

I tried too late last night to call Bentpole after a brainstorm. I realized if I got his permission the Mohawk could go turkey hunting with me this morning.

I called him last night and I guess with the time difference it was too late for him but I left a message asking his blessing. I haven't heard anything back as yet and I have to take off so I'll have to leave the Mohawk at the house... Too bad!

Wish me blessing!

Hey Bentpole, don't worry the last I heard he did find it after it flew out of the back of the truck and he threw it in his aluminum boat to shoot some carp.

I've been dealing with Vince for a "few" years now, He & his "significant" other are GOOD PEOPLE !! I knew Vince had something with the "first" L/B of his I received, don't want to tell ya how many I've had !! through my "Bowaholicsness" but I can tell ya this Osage & Boo Mohawk I have is a Thumper !! & Vince nailed the grip to a tee, Now Im thinkin a 68'' Classic would look real GOOD next to "Ole Yeller" Thanks Vince & keep making those chips !!!

I guess I'll let the cat out of the bag. I will be getting a Mohawk Classic #2 right behind Rob.

Vince and I talked and he said he was wanting to build one with a dark wood riser to see how it went with the black glass. I told him to do whatever he thought best.

Now if I could remember the name of the wood we discussed I'd tell you. But I can tell you it will be 68" about 46@28 with a straight grip.

He said it would be awhile but he might be able to make it a little faster since it was one he wanted to make..yeha!! I'll try to use someone elses' patience since I have very little and tell myself "It'll get here when it gets here!"

This will be hopefully my last custom bow. I mean enough is enough already...lol Maybe I can make that my mantra from now on...hahaha!

Mudd,

I ordered a classic last Jan. to be built for my B-day in July. It's going to have a Myrtle riser and a Hill dished grip, Black glass on back of limbs and White glass on the belly.

When I approached Vince with the idea of a Mohawk Classic he liked the idea. I always liked D-shaped bows so Vince's design with a Hill straight or dished grip will be a great combination. It looks like everyone will get their bow before me. I seen Rob's and it really was done well.

Best of luck,
Darren

The wood we talked about was cocobolo. Darren I hope you get yours soon. I can give up number 2 and take number 3 if it'll help. My birthday isn't until November....lol I bet you have yours in time for your birthday.

Hey Mudd-

I'm just excited about getting another bow. With this design a lot of the Hill enthusists like myself will definately like the added cast combined with the classic look.

adding to the increased cast and good looks is the smoothness of draw and shock free release.

Maybe I could think about raising my draw weight a couple of lbs. I ask for 46@28. What do you think Rob?
