Spring Chores
« on: April 16, 2010, 08:37:00 PM »
Many of us have our list of spring chores to be completed by trukey season. I am no exception.

My wife has quite a bit of landscaping. So yesterday I spent 5 hrs hoeing and on my hands and knees pulling weeds. I had numerous bug bites which is the norm since I live adjacent to a large woods. I noticed some discomfort in my lower back and just thought some mites may have gotten me. Didn't thing much of it. Today I spread much for 4 hrs.
This evenning,I told my wife that those bugs are eating me up and some of the mulch may gotten down in my pants. I am allergic to cedar sap. Well, I went to take a shower. I noticed in the mirror just before stepping in the shower that I had a ~2.5" fiery red mark across the top of my rump. I had been sun burned. My wife found it commical.

Well my chores were done just in time. Turkey season starts here tomorrow.

Hope you got your chores completed and have the best of luck this turkey season.
