I shoot both.  Split for quiet and the nostalgia of trying to immitate HH and other legends.  With that said, I'm way more confident and accurate 3 under.
Have a nice day!

Shot split finger forever! Changed to 3 fingers under about 4 years ago and it has greatly helped my consistancy and accuracy!

split finger.  The thought of the arrow being closer to my eye is uncomfortable.  Plastic nocks can explode.

It may be bad on my part but I shoot both. I have been jumping back and forth. I seem to shoot good both ways even switching from shot to shoot. I was having a mental block on reaching my anchor 3 under so to take my mind off the problem I switch back to split for a day. It came back natural so I been plying with it since.

When i shoot 3-under its really easy to use the tip of the arrow to aim with.

When i try split it feels more like i am shooting instinctive and im in no way as accurate.

It would seem to me that guys that shoot split would have to practice a whole lot more than guys that shoot 3-under.

If im wrong please correct me but thats what i have noticed when trying to shoot split.

I shoot three under based on these experinces. More comfortable and stable to draw and permits easier draw especially noticeable at higher poundage, noticeably smoother release, easier for me to bareshaft tune, brings the arrow up closer to my eye, thus I am progressively more accurate as the target moves from 30 yds in.

I'm trying 3 under after seeing several great trad shooters use it. They switched from split and swear by it.
