Pretty simple really. The bow was made by Greg Coffey, the 176th shrew he has made, in Oct. of 2007

i am sure i will like it, shot a 58 inch super shrew. shot amazing. still trying to decide what limb cores and veneers to order on the new one. thinking carbon/foam with zebra wood veneers, maybe stag tip and riser overlays

You will like the Shrew Classic Hunter. Your ideas on your new bow sound like good ones.

I like the foam/core in my 56" classic hunter (I've also got a 58" Samurai).  I've got the brown stained curly birch veneers and I think it's the cat's meow.  Zebra wood would've been my second choice. As far as stag tips, I like mine as small as I can get them and it seems like stag ends up being a little 'bulkier' for lack of a better term.  Also, all my bows are hunters and I don't like anything white waiving around to catch the eye of turkeys or deer, but that's just my two cents worth.

Bottom line is they're a great bow. It's wonderful when we have 'hard choices'.

I've got a 56" classic hunter-carbon that has carbon on the front and back. A great bow. I tried the 54" but found the finger pinch to be distracting.
