Hard to Bear... (pics)
« on: April 19, 2010, 02:15:00 PM »
Well Bear season just opened in my new not so Northern Alberta home. Still waiting on the bow to hunt em with, but figured I would share some pics from last Spring.

Here is a pic to show you the type of country that was hunted. Fairly thick stuff. WMU 524, no baiting allowed.

Old sign was abundant. At least I think they were made by a Bear.

They were definately around here somewhere.

Hmmm, perhaps I should try hunting closer to home.

Next stop the Beaver ponds. Didn't see a Bear, just Tadpoles and of course Beavers.

Well long story short didn't see let alone kill a Bear last Spring. Just lots of fun and fresh air. I did however run into some Bruins in July.

Maybe I'll run into one of the now not so little ones this Spring. Thanks for looking.

Do you just walk around till you see one?  We have the same rules Here in NY and was curious as I have yet to see a bear while hunting here.
Relax,

You'll live longer!
