If You don't use your spring turkey wings (feathers) don't get rid of them. Many TRADS will use them. I DO ! hmmmm!

I use every one of them I can get my hands on.  I love hunting with turkey fletch or goose fletch.  It makes me feel closer to nature and they look awesome to boot.

I asked a buddy of mine to save his wings for me and he did.  Meat and all delivered to my house after being in a plastic trash bag for several days in the bed of his truck.  Lovely.  I've learned to be more specific  :)
Have a nice day!

Talk with your local NWTF guys. Those shotgunners don't save the wings unless you ask!

Got six sets now, hoping for more before season is over. Going to grind and chop in two weeks.

add in canadian goose feathers, too - and those are free for the taking during the may/june moult ... just visit a local pond, lake, park or golf course!

A friend brought me 22 wings and 8 fans the other day.

I have struck up a lot of deals for wings in the past. I usually get burned. Made a custom bow for a real serious turkey hunter once, he wanted a bow to give as a gift to a friend in Tuscaloosa. The deal was he was going to save all his and his friends wings for me "FOR LIFE" in place of payment. I got 2 sets of wings and never saw the guy again.

Note: Typically the jake and hen wing bones make your better wingbone calls.

for anyone interested, you can strip feathers without any grinding and with a good arrow jig and fletch tape and a feather burner, get a perfect fletch with no quill and they are awesome.

I have two sets right now. Plus hope to have more on the way. I hope to get them done one day. I just don't have the equipment to do it and don't have the time right now. I think it would be cool to do them or have someone do them. My ten year old son would love them. So for now they sit.
If today was perfect, There would be no need for tomorrow
