Mickey, great picture as usual. Thanks for continuing to share with us.
By the way, is old Horse's Tail still gobbling, or did Dianne put the whammy on him?

Ga boy ...no he's still gobblin

snufer  I see you have a low member number so ya been around a couple years so you should know that flocks of turkeys come into my yard and start rutting behavior beginning in early March, they are there everyday. I take lots and lots of pics of them (sometimes 50-60 pics a day). Then in mid April they leave for some reason and they won't be back in the yard again until the poults are hatched (so I start taking pics again), They are then here for the rest of the year until mid April the following year. Turkeys obviously have a large home territiory.

We do hunt them but it's splotchy hunting. The birds have moved up the valley off my property (I only own about 6 acres)and we occassionaly call one in but it's rare.

Mickey,
Do you have permission to hunt in your area up the valley were the birds go to?

The lazy do not roast any game,
but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt.

I've about about three weeks until I can put my WI tag to use. Thanks for helping pass the time, Mickey.

Stone Knife . sorta but not really. 2 of my neighbors have no problem with me coming onto their property down by the creek but the neighbor immediately next door is a Sheriff and an ARA and definitly WOULD NOT let me tresspass, thereby cutting me off unless I want to go way around.
