Elk in South East Utah - 4 Corners area?
« on: April 24, 2010, 12:22:00 AM »
Does anyone have any "Boots on the Ground" experience in Utah's 4 Corners area hunting Elk.

Looking to start scouting for the 2010 season....starting to do my homework via the keyboard.    :campfire:

Good luck Mike. That is one part of the state I haven't hunted yet.

Yeah Snag, the San Juan area.  I'll probably take a drive out there soon for some pre-season scouting and wanted to get a bit of Intell on the place before I went.

Mike have you tried posting this on the PBS site? Lots of knowledgeable UT folks there.

Just looking for a cow....thought I might try to stay a bit closer to home this year.  Utah is 1/2 the distance of Idaho that I normally hunt.

Bjorn, I'm not familiar with that site.  Perhaps you could PM me.

Mike there are a lot closer units to kill a cow. Unless you plan on drawing a big bull tag there in the future. Food for thought.
