arrow finishes and Saunders Arrow Mate

Hay all, expecting some tonkin shafts soon. normally I use saunders arrow mate for nocks and fletching but then I have always used alluminum shafts or wraps on carbon ones. witch type of finish should one use on wood for best results with arrowmate glue?
