Seeing snakes is just part of being in the woods guys

january the snakes are in full hibernation mode however and you'll have to go to a zoo to see a snake then

I wonder how many hundred snakes I walked over without seeing them.  In three trips during the hotter months, I only saw one black snake, and none of the venomous guys.  Guess I was too focused on the piggies.

And that snake Joe has in his picture was so little you'd have to get two that size to make a hatband out of   :bigsmyl:    :goldtooth:    :biglaugh:

Hey guys-
The hunt isn't until January, and this is only May.  Slow down a little, or you will be all worn out by the time you get there.
Oh yeah, forgot to tell you guys about the hibernation thing.

I just don't worry about snakes that much- its the spotted mountain gorillas that keep me up at night- that and the gators hiding in six inches of water!

Izzy, I don't think there has ever been one taken with a traditional bow and arrow. They are extremely quick. So quick in fact, that originally they were called Striped Mountain Gorillas. Then someone saw one standing still.

Biggie, this here critter on the left of the pic is one of them gorillas you speak of.He thought he had the drop on me when he snuck up from behind but as you can see I had him in a Mr.Miagi hand grip and subsequently tossed him into the ditch out front.I could have easily arrowed him and beat Fred Eichler and Nate Anderson to the coveted 1st trad spotted gorilla but I let him go with only a bruised ego.

Well put Ken, I would have said it otherwise

As far as snakes go, you're talking to the guy who as a child would hide them in my pants to bring home as pets. My mom didn't allow them in the car.

She used to get away with giving me size restrictions.  They kept getting larger every time I would bring out a snake that would exceed her limit.  She stopped giving me size restrictions around 8 feet.  I ain't afraid of no snake.

Spotted Mountain Gorilla's?  I eat them for breakfast.

Izzy, didn't know you had spotted gorilla in your blood! maybe that's where you get that grip.
