What would you attempt to do, if you knew you could not fail?

Ryan, anybody who can build strings like you has the talent to build a bow.

I had grand dreams of building my bow a few years ago and was inspired by Brian Wessel and his grizzly taken with his home made bow.  I stopped out to his place to pick up a few pointers.  He told me he was thinking about offering his bows for sale at some point and all my thoughts of making one disappeared...it would take a lifetime to produce something as good!

So, if it is not you that made it, am I correct in assuming nobody has guessed the right maker yet?

Hey Steve-
Thanks for the kind words, and I've always wanted to build my own bows too! Just don't have the room.

A bunch of people guessed correctly already.  I'm taking the names of all the people who guessed correctly and throwing their names in a hat.  I'll pick one name tomorrow morning(Hawaii Time) and the lucky winner will win one brand new 180gr silver flame.

I'll be posting more pics and I'll give more info about the bow and the bowyer tomorrow!

Another vote for South Cox. What are the woods?

Donald-
It's Bacote and Cocobolo.
I love the color of cocobolo for risers, and the bacote gives a natural camoflauge for my limbs.

South Cox of Stalker Recurves built my new hunting partner.  It's a 58" 3pc takedown. He built the bow way beyond my expectations!  You can check out his work at  www.stalkerrecurves.com   South is a talented bowyer and a great guy to deal with.

For those of you who guessed Fox, Wallace and Blacktail,  all of those bowyers and Charlie Bisharat (the founder of Stalker Recurves) all mentored under Jim Brackenbury.  That is why all of the bows have similar lines.  Great guesses guys!

Ferret WYO is the winner of the 180 grain silver flame!

Thanks Gang!

The road to "Sherwood" makes for an awesome journey.
