Just on the timing. My initial trip remains the same...headed for the Montana border around the 13th of May through Glacier National park and down to Kalispell.....then east to see Layton Perry if he's around.

Then it's off to the Black hills of South Dakota and Sturgis...not the big rally, but that's ok.

Then east to Blue Mounds WI - to see a buddy I stayed with when I bought my Pinz.

Then I will be in Milwaukee to see a trad ganger there and then it's a ferry ride and meet another trad ganger on the other side.

(sorry guys I will get all the names straight on my next post).

Then it's off to kitchener Ontario for the National Skills Competition there. Training our yukon Competitor right now for the Electrical Wiring Competition right now and trying to wrap up our last week of training 1st - 2nd and third electrical apprenticship levels all at the same time right now......BUSY is an understatemant.

Then that's where the trip takes a hitch so to speak. We want to sell our house cause prices are sky high here.

Looks like we will be moving to Costa Rica by next spring...Ded my wife can't stand the cold anymore...so it's move or lose here.

Well I am sure gonna miss her (you know the song - the fishing one)...NO I will move...she has spent 29 years doing what I need to do and it's her time.

So I may have to drive to Milton and leave my bike there..come home sell the house...then fly back and continue my journey

Cheers Jer Bear

Thanks guys...still gonna come and do some visiting and hunting like I originally planned though.

Just need to sit down this weekend and do some timelines.

Taxes are first though..have lots coming back because of my small business so that's good..

So I am on my trip finally. Made it from Hobson Montana to Mitchell South Dakota today.

756 miles by google maps - 450 tomorrow

had fun at Hobson with Layton Perry and hi family....we went to his 3d shoot (will post pics later).

Had a great dinner at the local pub and then I was off to bed in my tent (love that crisp air in the tent.

Was up early and got on the road around 8:15

What a nice family.....Jer

Hey all, if you see this guy driving down the freeway, pull him over and take him to a 3D shoot or something!

That is quite the change.  I don't know that they will have to bowhunt but you will have to try spearfishing if you are close to water.  I had so much fun doing it in the Dominican Republic.  It is much more like archery hunting than fishing.  You have to be stealthy and get close and you never know what you might run into.  You'll love it.

Hey Jer....I've gotta camper trailer for sale you could use.  You can put all that stuff on top of it and keep your bike empty.  Makes it real nice sleepin' up off the ground.  At least it helps my old bones.......Good luck, and take care of momma.  :archer2:

Well thanks for all the kind stuff guys

Heres my baby loaded up for the trip. Took awhile to get it arranged.

I have been having a trip of a life time truly EPIC.

I look a bit like a RACOON right now with the sun beaming on my full face helmet and my sunglasses...so look twice before you shoot me in the dark ok   :biglaugh:

I have had GREAT weather and am meeting some great ppl.

Here's Layton and his son in Montana at the 3d shoot

. They really made me feel like part of the family.

Then it was off to blue mounds WI to see Paul Underwood. He was instrumental in getting Pinzgauers insurable and registered in WI..good on you Paul.

I had lunch and was leaving and this sign was on the door by my bike and a bow screwed to the door.

Joe Bzura - aka - bowhunting fool met me in millwaukee and I got to meet another fella on a harley (DICK). Just happened to have a lunch that didn't agree with me so I had to turn around on the divided hyway and hit the rest stop.

Well I came out and met DICK...nice fella...he helped me locate Joe who I had been txting on the trip across Wisconsin.

heres dick on his harley and then dick on the left and joe on the right
