Good story Curt. I'm sure you'll get the job done. I'll have to give it a try sometime. Good luck with Cade and tell him hello for me.

Good hunt Guru!! I got to tell ya the Ghillie suit hunting is addictive. It was my first time this year with one and I was very surprised at how good it works. I`m gonna do a bit of deer hunting this year with mine as well.RC

Thanks for the well wishes fellas. Now that I've killed one with Cade, It's ghillie time again next weekend!

Cade really wants me to kill one with it, he knows how much it'll mean to me.

But he also said that he'd give me two hunts with it(next weekend), than it's back to the blind with him!

I explained that he's the priority and would rather have him with me and kill one in the blind.

But he as much as he wants to go with me, he's also really pulling for me and the ghillie.

He watched the whole building process...

Just hope it cools off a bit, it was high 80's, low 90's all weekend!

Just like everyone has said about a burlap ghillie...they're very warm!

I'll keep getting up early all week and scout before work in preparation for next weekend. Got a couple spots I want to "prep" as well for ghillie setups.

Stay tuned!

Curt, Cade's a good little hunter. Can you put a mini ghillie together for him? He loves to do stuff that's archery related. Just cut & stitch the netting for him & let him do the jute & burlap. It doesn't need all the bells & whistles, it just needs to make him disappear next to you.
You know he's gonna be still & move slowly so that's not an issue.
That'd be the the cat's pajamas to get one with him next to you in his own ghillie.
