Possibles Bag
« on: January 08, 2007, 12:10:00 PM »
My daughter, Emma, loves to braid so I had her help me with my latest leather project. She braided most of the strap, and assisted with the lanyard for the antler "keeper".

Very nice Jerry. I checked out your website. You've got some cool stuff on there. I really like the Plains quiver with the sheath, very well done.

Mine's made from an old flour sack, lined and dyed a dark brown.

I've always liked a shoulder bag/possibles bag and I've got several of them.

I carry all kinds of stuff in them, keeps my pockets from buldging.    :archer:

Hey guys, Emma says thanks for all the nice comments.

Ron, when I showed Emma your post, she recognized you as the guy on the video who shoots a bow with his foot. That's a cool way to be remembered. I let her know how much you contribute to our traditional heritage, and when I got done explaining to her how important you were, and how much it means to me for you to post on our thread, she said," Oh so he's like the Dad of traditional bow hunting?" I smiled and said "Yep that's him".

tin of cloves (like to chew them)
compass (just in case)
some venison jerky and/or trail mix
flask (of H2O of course)
face paint
small folding saw
small prunning snips (grooming trails)

some toilet paper (blood trailing, etc)
camera
small binoculars

Hey Drummer, I had planned on going then found out a couple weeks ago my wife has to go to Texas that weekend, which leaves me home with the kiddos.

Very nice 4runr.  You are blessed for sure.

I would at least consider Ron LaClair an Uncle for traditional archery 8^), if not a Daddy.

Ron is the kind of feller' you want want your kids and grandkids to emulate.  Soft spoken, honorable, a giver and a credit to our sport..and as a bonus, looks like a real mountain man.
