Ran into this guy while on a Turkey/Hog hunt this weekend.

I thought he looked like a prince with a crown.     :)

He'd look good on the wall, that's for sure.

Boy be profilin'!

Killdeer~ I think I'm in love!
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

thats some great growth already.  When you got it you got it!!!  Haven't been out much this spring but noticing some mule deer getting some growth.  Our sheep, moose, mnt. goat, and bison tags should be out today or tomorrow.  Anticipation is killing me.

In HIS mind, those antlers are already full-sized, polished, and regal!!  You can see it in the look on his face.

fido, you sure did some great shooting even if no hog or turkey. Seeing that photo reminds me of what the crown prince and his buds will be growing over the Summer. Just a beautiful animal any time of the year, thanks for posting the pics.

I was supposed to be on the New Mexico border near Guadalupe National Park. The Elk come in freely (to TX). They sold that land days before I was supposed to go. I was bummed so I called a place near Abilene that is about 5000 acres. A few Elk and Buffalo run freely on the property. They have for about 12 years or so. They do their thing on their own. It's pretty cool.
