So here's some pics and a small video....I think the string is messed up though....it's only 51.75" long for a 58" bow.....NOW I REALLY WILL GO NUTS.

Just opening the box

the riser - Honduras rosewood and maple accents

limbs - Curly maple and Honduras rosewood

video of the bow

Pics of string length

strung it and it has a brace height of 10.5 inches..can un-wrap the string anyfurther...they screwed up the length of the string...the package says 56" though.

jer bear...so I still can't shoot her

Pretty sure the sting is for a 56" bow.....They talked me into a 58" bow at the last minute and they probably never checked the actual bow length they just looked at the order and through the 56" in.

Honest mistake...I am sure that the actual length of a string for a 58" bow should be around 54" and this one is around 52" which would make it right for a 56" bow.

Still makes me crazy though I WANT TO SHOOOT HER...urggg...jer bear

Well, I gotta say, that is hands down, my favorite black widow riser. I love the white in it.

Beautiful bow.  The black and white looks better than the usual black and red for me.

Don't sweat the small stuff. A string can be replaced.

Most archers would give up an organ for a bow like that.

Yeah I know...i am very pleased, but I can't build my own strings i don't have the stuff and no time to get one from anywhere before I leave on Friday morning.

Thanks guys- I love it too. Wasn't wanting the red...just too many like that already and is I was going to pay extra I wanted something that really blended into nature...I think we hit it.

On another note.....Well the strings came wrong...measured both they are 52" give or take.

BUT AS LUCK WOULD HAVE IT   :bigsmyl:      :bigsmyl:
When I got my WHITE ELEPHANT from Bill Shaw there was a string in there.....hmmm wonder what length it was (55"). So twisted the heck out of her and got it to work for now. think it's a B50 string...but I don't care....I can get the right ones on my trip somehow.

Well MUDD (cause I know you will chime in here somewhere). The LORD (as you put it) works in mysterious ways.

They shipped me the wrong ones...but I had one I could use just didn't know it...amazing

Thats a beauty!

Did the string myself except (I) ordered it wrong thinking I was ordering string length rather than AMO.....I'm sure you are itching to shoot it!

congrats

Honestly I'm not a big fan of the looks of the Black Widows but that one changed my mind. Great looking bow.

I finally got a string on her - one that I got from the white elephant swap.

Then I ate supper (fast than usual - felt like a little kid again..ok still).

Loaded her in the pinz on my rod rack that I made for my bows...this works slick.

I was wandering around and ended up at the 3d range...it was late and nobody around so I just went for a stroll..this will be a mixture of pics adn vids so be patient.

Shot lots tonight...IT WAS SO GOOD TO GET OUT.

First shot with her (it' gets worse, but this is encouraging. Not sure of the distance (ended up being 17 paces though)

Had to lean her up and take a pic. she blends nicely to the surroundings.
