Kodiak Magnum. A 1965 Kodiak Magnum.
I have a zillion bows, and I shot the Kodiak Magnum the best, and I shoot mostly longbows these days...

What am I doing?
Buying another longbow...

All my other bows have gotten dusty since I got my Quinn:Stallion.

Not the prettiest bows around, but form follows function. It is VERY functional for me. People say they have bows that shoot right where they look. This bow hits the mark even when I'm not looking at it.

I sure like it.

'62 Kodiak......bought it in 1965 and shot it for the better part of 18 years.

It took a while to REALLY miss it, but now I cringe everytime I think about the day I sold it.   :banghead:

I had a 64in Tice & Watts. 58@29. It was like a part of my hand. Got kicked out of my tree stand. Broke the bottom limb. Makes me sick to think about it.

60@28 60" widow PSA with asbell grip, after almost 40 years of this stuff, and a buttload of money spent on bows, I shoot this bow better than I ever have any other.. next best was a identical one but 63@28 I love shooting a longbow, but have always shot recurves better, but nothing shoots better for me than this bow, it just "fits"

I have a 63" Bama Longbow, 47# at my draw. I love the grip and red elm limb cores. I shoot it better than my two d/r longbows.

I have owned a ton of bows with custom (for me) grips. Schafer has an acceptable grip. Brian Wessel @ Tall Tines built a (good for me) grip, but the absolute best grip I've ever shot is on a Checkmate Hunter 11.....it's big, fat, and almost a totally round, medium wrist grip, but it's the most accurate bow I have ever shot, and I attribute that to the grip.

I shoot Hummingbird longbows (takedown) I like the way it feels when I draw it and the mass weight also. It is quick and shoots where I look. It shoots better than I do. LCH

Cari-Bow "Tundra Wolf" 60lb@27" out of all of my Bows, wich are mostly cari-bows, thats my #1 bow. I had 2 tundra wolfs that were the same, but I gave one to a freind of mine that was down on his luck.

I'll be 56 in a couple of months and the first recurve I had my parents gave me when I was 6 years old... After all those years I still can't shoot worth a darn, but love flinging arrows.

Of the hunting bows I've had that I shot really well an Asbel Bighorn stands out. It was 70@28 and I drew it to about 30", it was a 60" bow. I killed a lot of game with that bow. Shot 2219 Autumn Orange shafts and Zwickey Deltas..It just fit, plus we shot everyday for ages...

Biggie, I still have a Bamboo longhunter hanging in the barn.. Neat bow!

I've owned a bunch, and still have more to go -

But IMHO, Jim's Firefly is the best kept secret out there.  I got it on a trade not knowing anything about it, and will take it with me always.
