I have not tried all bows, but quite a few, and am not really an old timer per say, but I have shot a firefly longbow the best.

Unfortunately, the best bow I've shot to date is my PCH III. But, I like longbows and don't know if I'm going to keep it.    Kinda silly ain't it?!   "[dntthnk]"

Border Black Douglas Swift. However, I've been shooting a Border GL longbow for the past year or so and I don't think I'm going back! There's just something about a longbow...

Best ever was a 62" GN Bushbow, 57#@26"...still have it, but shoulder issues necessitated a drop in weight.  So now I shoot a 47#@26" Bushbow; not quite as well, but gettin' there.

Hey Tom! Now I shoot ALL my bows well... Tell ya why... "Stu Millers' Archery Dynamic Spine Calculator". That's right. My eyes are open now! So when you ask about a favorite bow... I Have Six!   :D

Had to bring my point weight up a lot but all shoot dead to center. Talk about a Happy Camper.   :jumper:

Rocky Miller Heritage 62" - 61#@29. Shot it for years and took many critters, but now the weight is a bit much. Gorgeous bow that is a shooter!

after shooting 'curves and longbows since i was 7 years old back in 1979 , my favourite meat getter is a knocked around Howard Hill Halfbreed, 52# at my 27" draw and a smooth 68" long.
MY best on field targets was a 50# Stemmler Cougar...just dropped 'em right in there....

I'll have to second the Quillian bamboo longhunter. I bought one at a show from Dan in the late 80's. 62@28 68". I my young dumb years, I decided I wanted to shoot more weight and cut 2" off each end and retillered it. It came in right around 80lbs. It hangs in my rafters these days. Screwed up a nice bow on a whim. I probably could'nt shoot it now if it was still 62lbs. DB

59 Kodiak that was a hand me down when my dad got his dream Bear takedown in 1970. I should have the bow restored but just can not have it gone to much emotional value.

Lots of nicks and dings but still a great shooter. To this day I can pick it up and go shoot it very well.

I've owned a 60" Bear Super Kodiak and a 64" Bob Lee Signature TD plus my two 66" Blacktail TDs and my present 68" Longhorn hybrid longbow, but I shoot both Blacktails the best of all the bows I've ever owned.

58# Quillian Bamboo Longhunter. I really wish I had not gotten rid of it. Would love to have another one.
