Phoenix area archery stores...
« on: May 04, 2010, 01:01:00 PM »
The family and I are going down to Phoenix this Friday - Sunday (5/7 - 5/9).  So naturally I was wondering if any of you fellow Arizona archers could recommend a store or two in the Phoenix area with a decent trad section.
I need to do some Mother's Day shopping.  ;)

Thanks,
Joe

Try Corner Archery located at 51st Ave and Northern. They are a great shop and the service is excellent.

Look up four peaks archery in Mesa. Mostly traditional with a lot of older items as well. Steve is a very interesting guy and you will know what I mean when you talk to him. Bear Mountain in mesa has a lot of archery, but not a lot of trad items. Archery headquarters in Chandler is a very nice archery store with some trad items.

Corner archery is almost totally compound, I have yet to find someone there who knows about trad stuff.

Steve at four Peaks is the guy. He has been there since 1975 so you can guess how much "stuff" you can pack into a store that used to be a small house. He is a big Howard Hill fan.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys.  If I have time for only one, sounds like Four Peaks is it.  We'll be in Chandler so it should be easy to get up to Mesa if I can get away.
Thanks again!
