Just wondering what most of you shoot as your main bow and backup bow.Are they identical, same style, longbow or recurve, same length, weight?I'm shooting a 58" 46#@26"Lost Creek longbow with my backup being a Thunderstick Mag longbow 58"48#@26".

I have a Quinn stallion, 60", #50@ 28, deadly. I have a twin to it and 6 extra sets of limbs, #47-50#, 4 strings , D-97, made up, shot in and laying in wait! All shoot the same for me, grab one and go!

I shoot a HH Wesley Special at 65# and just got another one of the same draw weight, so I guess that will become my main backup. Previously, I considered my Deathwish at 59# and my Kolomi at 53# to be equal backups. All are 68" long except the Kolomi at 66".

My back up bow is same as my go to bow, it took me 11 years to find that perfect bow, ordered new last spring! I just bought a back up off a fellow tganger a month ago, same specs just different woods! Now I have two kajika stiks!

My primary bow is a Habu 64" 60# at 29"; back up is my primary this year...Jeffery Royal Hunter 62" 60# @28". (Though I do have a special Robertson on the way soon
)
I can shoot same arrows in both setups....though Habu shoots a bit flatter past 20yds.

My main bow is my 60" 50* @ 27" Zona Custom T/D Recurve.
My back up is a toss up really:
60" 51* @ 27" Hoyt Dorado.
62" 47* @ 27" Sky Sky Hawk "a real Earl Hoyt" which is quickly becoming my second go to bow.

i really only hunt with Hill style bows and they are either reflexed and 68" long or with a touch of string follow at 66" ... so i always have two of each , always same specs , on hand when i'm hunting .
well sometimes three...
or four.......

Go to is now my 60" 51#@28 GN Ghost. I have so many backups that I should relieve some weight from the wall. They all shoot good enough to be GOTO bows.

Yep, got to have a back up even if you never will need it.
This TallTines is going to be #1 for a long, LONG time:
It is an exact match to the top one here when the hunt is not too rugged:
And I've got this one in a lighter weight for when I am an old man
I do NOT want to be without a TallTines!

My primary 3D bow is the one I just finished. The previous 9 on the pegs and the one I'm building are the backups.... they're all light, 22# to 32"
For hunting I built a primary that's 42# 62" two piece longbow (kind of short but so is my draw) and an almost matching 38#

I have two 66" Blacktail take down recurves that feel the same and I shoot both equally well so I really don't really have a backup. One is 42# and the other is 37#.

Back up is a Mikuta 3 piece TD recurve 62" 54@28.
This will change as I just ordered a NAT Lost Creek longbow 54" 50@26.

Main bow is a Border Griffon GL longbow 64", 62#@27. My backup is a Border Black Douglas "Swift" recurve 60", 61#@28. I have an identical Border recurve when the Swift was my primary.
