Javelina Brace Height?
«

Tried searching but couldn't find anything. Any clue as to a good starting point for BH on this bow? 66", 45#er if that matters any?
Thanks for any help.

I have a 1962 66", 55# Javelina and have her braced at 7-3/4". I have beaver ball silencers and Bow Hush on the string and she is quiet as a whisper. Great shootin' old bows.

How can one tell what year the bow was built, or is that even possible?
Serial # on mine is J-10528, model# 966.
Also is a 62" string about right for this model bow?
BTW thanks for the help on the BH Ga. boy!

Check out this link:
http://www.archeryarchives.com/pearson1.html
Calls for a brace height of 7" to 7-1/2", but mine likes 7-3/4" best as stated earlier.
You may be able to determine the year by reading the description of the glass color, grip type and limb type.
Mine is serial #J-3075.
Good luck,
Chuck

I reckon mine is a '63 or '64? In '65 it appears the model numbers started with a "7".
I think my string at 62"s may be a little short? Stringing her up with a little over 7" BH is a chore! Haven't been able to get close to 7 3/4"s.
Thanks again for the help.

Have you tried twisting the string up a bit to increase the brace height? Twist the string to shorten it a bit and this will increase your brace height. Measure from the deepest part of the grip to the edge of the string.
