I have done searches on here for both and didn't really come up with alot.  It isn't in the budget right now but these bows have really caught my attention.  I know everyone says to shoot every bow you can, but without that, I would like to hear opinions.  I talked to Scott Mitchell at the Kalamazoo show and had a few of his beautiful bows in my hands but couldn't shoot them because of a hernia surgery.    And as for the Marriahs, I just recently stumbled across their website and have been looking into them.  The thermal definitely caught my eye.  As I mentioned it isn't in the budget right now, but I watch the classifieds quite often and don't ever see either.   Any info or experience with either would be great. Thanks

Both are great bows. if you like the feel of the TH in your hands then i'd go that route. there is one for sale in the classifieds now i believe w/ 2 sets of limbs. a real beauty i was tempted to buy.

marriah's are hard to come by but are also an outstanding bow. similar to a silvertip and a great value.

scott is a little more accessible than ric but both are great bowyers that stand by there product

Can't speak for the Marriah but I own and shoot a Timberhawk. It is very smooth and stable...if you are going to Compton and are recovered from your surgery Scott will be there with plenty of bows to shoot. Also you won't find a nicer guy than Scott.

I love my Thermal (and have also been tempted by that Timberhawk in the classifieds!).  It is a very stable shooter and built to last.

My Timberhawk will be in my hands by next week, will try to post a review in the next couple of weeks.

Scott has been a real pleasure to deal with!

Never shot a Marriah, but I do have a Timberhawk Premier recurve and it's great!  62" 55@29.  I had a 64" longbow of his but had to sell it a couple years ago.  I should be getting a new longbow from him in the next month with the new grip.

Scott is great to deal with and all his bows I've owned and shot have all done well.

I have a TimberHawk 3-piece recurve, a 1 piece longbow, and his new takedown longbow.  I love them all and they shoot fantastic with virtually no handshock. He has redesigned the grip and it just melts into your hand.

Never shot a Marriah, but I just can't imagine a better shooting bow and I've shot a lot.

Scott is really what makes TimberHawk such a wonderful boy. He is a great guy and gentleman.

There's a smoking deal on a Timberhawk in the classifieds right now!

I have a Timberhawk Strike 54 in. 49@28, its his newer 1 pc. short bow and its the best shooting short bow Ive ever shot... feels like a 60-62 in bow, no stack to at least my buddys 31 in. draw..he even said the finger pinch wasnt bad..very quick, dead quiet and easy to hit with..Im getting ready to sell my Fedora and Super Diablo maybe, but its going to stay..

Rick is a great guy and an awesome bowyer...I have a Marriah Williwa 1 piece R/C in my collection and its a great bow.... smooth, fast, beautiful, and as said, looks similar to a Schafer... as it should. Rick and Paul were good friends and Paul I'm sure had some influence in Rick's design.

FYI..Rick told me that at one time he was Paul's string maker..
