Does anyone know?
« on: May 15, 2010, 12:31:00 AM »
Why the powers that be,on another site would deleate any n all threads that mention,Russle Crow, and his new Robin Hood Movie?I posted this same serious question over there n it was deleated very promptly.I asked for anybody to PM me if there was something i should know about Crow, that would cause them to shun any mention of him.If there is,i would like to know.I like to know who the enemy is,if i can.

Probably because it's been discussed to death.

Oh and as someone who grew up in the very countryside that Robin Hood is supposed to have frequented, listening to Russell Crowe try to do a West/South Yorkshire accent is paaainful    :(

Let me tell ya, if "light reading" is something you're after, don't ask the British to lead you there. Their standard education is something we would hope to aspire to.

Dont know where that came from, cause my Light reading comment, was directed towards the belief, that those threads were deleated because of them being discussed to death.

I'm sticking with Norman Raines version starring Errol Flynn.

Maybe Russel contributed to the "wrong" party/people? There is a lot of politically motivated censorship on "Archery" sites. Been a victim myself. I say, the movie has trad gear, lets discuss it till we bleed, then let it go. Maybe someone else will pick up some interst or move into a more primitive/ period interest of archery.  Watching the REAL RobinHood with Errol Flynn and Howard HIll made a huge difference in the path I took as an archer wanna-be. My 3rd graders are reading a graphic novel about Robin Hood and they love it!
