TradGang.com Gets Comfy
« on: May 17, 2010, 08:45:00 PM »
As you can see my tradgang.com sticker just got a more comfortable ride (actually Rose and I decided we needed to treat our ol' bodies to a better handling and riding vehicle than our former Ranger trucks). My purpose here though (other than showing off   ;)  ) is to say how pleased I was to remember that some one (I think he's called Terry, or something   :D  ) was smart enough to "suggest"  two , instead of one, tradgang.com stickers, when I had to get a new one the last time I traded vehicals. When I went to get out another trad archery sticker I knew I had (other side of window), I was tickled to find the extra tg one (that I had forgotten about) -   :notworthy:

My other important stickers also:

So this will be the "Dinosaur" wagon, showing up at ATAR, w/ me and my daughter , in July, good Lord willing.

(If this dissappears soon, I promise not to wonder/question why.)

Nice ride Bernie. A tad more comfort than the Ranger I'd say.

I'll be proud to have that in the camp-next-door, old friend. May it give you many safe and trouble-free years of service.

Nice of you to give me a heads-up, so I don't take out the shotgun to run off the squatters a-squattin' in your site!   :D

Sometimes I don't know squat.

Bernie, I was a little scared to look at this post, but I had to see what you would call more comfy than a cheerleading outfit  :scared:

Benjy, I'm always nervous about opening Bernies posts! Lol! If I had kids I'd make them clear the room first just in case! Nice ride Bernie. Is that Creme Brulette some kind of French color? No matter, it looks 100% American sittin' in your carport, especially with those awesome decals and bumper stickers. I hope she treats you right and keeps you safe.

Looks White to me. And I can assure you, Bernie's language on here is really cleaned up. You should ride 7 hrs with him sometime. You can take the man out of the marines, but you can never take the marine out of the man.  Don

It did come out a little whiter on camera than we know it is, didn't it, Don? I took the pics in the evening on cloudy ol' yesterday. (Don, Trish, and Rudy saw it Sat at his house befor we left for the Sissipaha shoot.) I guess that is a French color designation (or French dessert) but the name is Ford's fault and not mine - LOL - I just get a kick out of it. All I know is it sure looks good, up close and personal, kinda like French Vanilla Ice Cream. Makes me hungry every time I look at it    :p   . I still don't have all the stickers on her that I had on my truck yet - it'll take a little while to gather the rest -    :goldtooth:

BTW, Don's right about my language - I'm always apologizing for it - in advance. Old Marine habits are hard to (fully) break. On the other hand you ought to hear all of Don's "special" jokes on one of those trips. The Army's no piker outfit, language-wise, either - and he wasn't under that military influence near as long as I was   :D  (funny stuff, though).

Thanks for the "blessing", Terry       :)      .

Yes (thanks for the bolstering opinion), Joe, Rose and I are both really pleased with it, and more so every time we get in it. (You don't have an extra pair of roof rack cross bars in the group, do you? I can't believe how much they cost!)

Yes, Doc, I must admit that I'm a "sticker" freak, though more magnetic (when i can find them) than actually stickers - except on the glass. Nothing wrong with the "carrot wagon" (my first Ranger) we went down the mountain with, buddy - I just thought you were driving so I kept forgetting to steer. Then I realized you weren't but were busy on my phone "chatting up" my wife. Gettin' so ya can't trust anybody       :campfire:     That was a good bunch!

Oh, brother...I forgot all about talking to sweet, sweet Rose!

That trip will remain in my memory as one of my finest shared times ever with a compadre of the bow, Bernie! We surely did laugh ourselves silly!

May the new "pimp mobile" serve you in the same stead and you and daughter have the same fun out and back!

Thank you, Dave, it could very well turn out to be one of "our" best shared memories. She is pretty pleasant company (most of the time -     ;)  ), she's never been to the mountains (though I grew up in them)and is really looking forward to that, she loves the water (like I always did) and will fall in love with Lake Stephens, likes camping, and - who knows - she may even find some little latent interest in Trad Archery, along the way       .
