Firefly bow
« on: April 30, 2010, 08:35:00 PM »
Hi,
I am new to the forum, just thought that I would let ya'll know that I just ordered a Firefly. The only bad thing is that it will take three months to get it. Alot of sleepless nights until it gets here.

Welcome to the forum.
That three month wait will be well worth it once your Firefly shows up. They are great bows. Extremely smooth and quiet, with workmanship up with the best of them.

You are gonna love this bow.  I have 3 of them and am thinking up another one.  Jim is a great guy and the three month wait is a minor one when some other guys take a year.  Welcome to this site and enjoy.

Any custom bow is well worth the weight.  never shot a firefly but love the looks of them and they've had great reviews.  Like mentioned before 3 months is not bad at all.  However, it will feel like 3 years by the time its said and done.

Machinist,
I just got my Firefly last week and all I can say is it is everything I hoped for and more!!! As soon as I get some pictures taken I intend to start a thread and show off my bow and give you all my impressions. Stay tuned.

To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

Three months ain't bad at all. Don't see how you could possibly go wrong with this one. I have paid twice as much for a good custom bow. The price is right and the testimonials are always great. I don't think this guy will be able to keep up with demand for long.

Hi guys, I am happy today. Jim sent an email and said I should have my bow by the end of next week, can't wait. I will post some pics of it when it gets here. The make up is Texas ebony riser and the limbs are curly maple over action boo. It should be 45# at 28"

Machinist,
You are going to be blown away if you havent shot one of Jims bows. They are smooth to draw, no handshock, wisper quiet, fast and easy to tune an arrow to. Everyone who has shot my bow just falls in love with it.
Good luck with it and post som pics when you get her home.
