Got my SILVERTIP!!! Pics
« on: May 03, 2007, 05:30:00 PM »

The Silvertip came on Friday, but today was the first chance I got to post pics. Here are the specs:
62" 60#@29" (I draw to 29.5" with this bow) T/D
Walnut dymondwood riser and limb wedges
Actionwood veneers
Checkered grip, LH with Elevated rest
On it is inscribed "Mshale kwa Masiya" which translates out to "Arrow for Christ" from Swahili.
This bow is exceptionally stable! I love the checkered grip. I have some 2219s that it really likes. They are cut to 30" with a 190gr. point. That string is a 12 strand DF-97 MountainMuffler. Brace height is just a HAIR under 8".
I have become very accurate with the bow over the last few days and LOVE how it shoots, smooth and quick. It's gonna make a great partner to my DAS bow, love em both. Thanks to everyone who recommended this bow, I'm 100% satisfied and very pleased that I chose this bow. God bless,
Craig

Awesome bow! The shape of the grip looks like it would fit like a glove. Did you send him a mold of your hand and have him shape the grip to fit??  :)

pseman, nope, I didn't, just told him medium and with checkering.
Rich, the DAS and the Silvertip are the top two bows I have shot. I love them both. They'll both see plenty of hunting time I'm sure. Thanks for all the compliments guys!

Very nice!!      :notworthy:

I bought one in the classifieds, this week that looks a lot like yours, Craig.

What is the recomended brace height on a 60" T/D Silvertip anyways??

Here are a couple of pictures of the one I bought here.

troutms,

It was described as "cross cut elm".

Craig, is your riser the 19" riser?

I have a long draw as well and maybe think I might have opted to wait for a 62" bow. Wel'll see.

Again, very nice Silver Tip, Craig.
