Ok so the new Morrison 17" ILF riser showed up today. Very nice lines, I like most of the changes and some more are yet to be made after talking over the riser with Bob just a bit ago. So here is what you get.

The front of the grip has been rounded off and is nice and smooth.

Bob has another winner here!
It has holes for off the shelf with a plunger or for an elevated rest.

All of the fittings, bolts and set screws are stainless steel now. Very sweet.

The shelf has a raised pivot point.

All dressed up with some Velcro on the shelf, a shorty plunger and a set of ILF Wave limbs.

Took a guess at arrows and points. Very first seven arrows gave me this group and cost me a fletch and nock from 18 yards.

First three arrows at my invisi-piggy from 24 yards.

Over all a very sweet ILF. There are a couple things I'd change (one is just a personal preference) and Bob agreed on one of them. You'll see that in the near future.    :)

Dang, that is a sweet looking setup right there! Nice shooting!

I wouldn't mind having that as a turkey setup as you can attach a string tracker to the front of the riser. Bob is truly a talented bowyer.   :clapper:

David
Do you think the plunger holes are too close together creating a possible weak spot on the riser?

Now those are some different looking limbs. Nice rig David.

BTW- That pig looks like it has a couple .22 holes in it. Go figure.   :saywhat:  Nah, couldn't be.LOL

That would be true Mike. You think those guys would have been better shots.

TW you can also mount a string tracker on the site holes.

They are available now Pat.

Peter I don't think it is an issue for this grade alloy. Bob and I talked a little bit about the arrangement though on a different matter.

One thing you should know if you have a Das riser now, the limbs will need a longer string on the Morrison 17" riser. The bolt holes are one inch farther apart I noticed while comparing them.

This riser balances very nicely with these limbs, no stabilizer needed. I will be trying some other brand limbs out on it later this week and see how those feel.

Split vision like Howard for most. Align the arrow with the target then focus on my spot. Close shots are instinctive, longer distances more gap. So whatever works for the shot. Clear as mud eh? lol

Dave, what kind of grip is that? Looks interchangeable. Jaeger grip? You tend to shot low wrist don't you? I like the pivot point on the shelf. Will these risers come in other colors/patterns?

The grip is a Jaeger, Bob has them in all three grips. You need to speak to Bob about the rest of it. I'm just playing test monkey for a week or two.

Thanks Dave. Make sure to post how various weights and spines react. What kind of string are you shooting?
