Legends Bows Introduces New Affordable Kid's Bow
« on: May 23, 2010, 04:06:00 PM »

Legends Bows wants to help our young traditional archers get into a custom affordable bow without breaking the bank. We understand that spending alot for a kid's bow is now out of reach for alot of families. The new "Spike" recurve has a 15" petite gray action wood riser, the over all length is 58". We have built these bows at 22-25# at 20", this same bow at 28" is 33-35#,therefore it grows, with the shooter. We are offering the "Spike" bow for $225. Legends Bows has made this bow affordable, to promote the youth, to get into archery. Please take a look at the beauty of the new "Spike" bow.

p.s. The "Spike" bow could also be considered for a woman.

Thanks,
Mike and Debbie Rash

I bought that bow in the picture above for my son Nick. Nick is 10 yrs old, and has been shooting in tournaments with Mike and I for about the last 4 years or so. We picked this bow up this weekend and without telling my son about it, I gave it to him and let him shoot it. Immediately his eyes opened wide and his shooting improved 100% over his other bow. We had him shoot at about 15 yds or so and his words to me were " hey dad, where I look is where it hits". Priceless!

Mike, I want to thank you for allowing me to get the first kids bow you made. I know that both of us look foward to watching him in the next tournament. I will try to post pics of him and his bow later.

By the way, Nick is shooting his plain old cheap wooden arrows out of this bow. As he improves, I will get him some carbons which should fly much more consistantly for him. At 15 yards he could keep all his arrows in a Morrells yellow jacket target----makes a papa proud. Ben

Would you be able to get a set of heavier limbs at a later date?  Something around 40-45# at 28 inches?  That way you could give it to him for his 13th birthday, he could use it for several years as he grew and around his 16th birthday, he could up grade to a hunting weight.  Bill
