Gil - you're in the neighborhood.   :D

I just saw this today and am contemplating mocking up something similar with a heavy wool blanket for cold weather use:

I just bought the HuntMore 360* stool with back rest.  It costs more than the average chair, but I have spent twice as much on all the other chairs combined before I bought this one.  Adjustable legs and seat cushion along with adjustable back rest.  You simply can't go wrong with this chair.  I made the mistake of letting my wife sit in it, now she is chirping in my ear she would like one.

I sat in the Double Bull chair for 2 days on a Kentucky scouting mission  a couple weeks ago, and after thesecond day I dug out the business card for Scott from HuntMore, and ordered one over the phone.  It was at home waiting for me when we got back.  I wish I would have bought one at the Compton shoot, it would have saved me the shipping cost.  I do believe this is going to be the most comfortable season I have ever had.

I have tried the 3 leg stools, the torged tree seat... They are fine for those hr and a holf hunts in early bow season, but am not using the millenium tree stand strap on tree seat...light and comfortable!!!... If you are comfy you fidget too much and see few deer!!!

I have the original DB. I can sit for at least 4 hours without going numb. I need one of them bigger ones so it will fit my big butt.

No offense to the Huntmore folks, but the topic mentions light weight, compact and quiet.  It's a chair but it doesn't seem to meet the other criteria about which the OP was interested.

The HuntMore is comfortable, deadly silent, fits into a small bag, but yes it is on the heavier side, but your never gonna get all 4 to be perfect.  So, 3 out of 4 ain't all that bad.

I have a 3 legged stool I got from 3 Rivers, I can't remember the name of it right off. the legs come off for storage and travel and they adjustable for height. the seat swivels on a ball bearing base and it's padded. I'm 350# so it should do for anything less as well.

Someone above already mentioned it, but I have used the Niff-T-Seat for several years. Just a single leg, nothing to adjust. I generally set up next to a tree to use as a back rest, but can sit without faily comfortably. They can be set up for several different heights. Try Goggle, you should come up with it.

I just got the new Sportsman's Guide cat. in the mail. They have a Game Tamer chair for $40.00 looks like a Huntmore ripoff.
If I had not just bought the magnum DB I'd give it a try.

I use this , like most things I have not sure where I got it . The round seat screws onto the side for transport , is very lightweight and the seat swivels . I have an old muzzleloader sling on it to carry . The seat is about 18" high . The only drawback is the flange on the post is about 3 1/2 " in diameter and with the sand around here it works itself into the ground after a while .  Even though there is no back on it I set it up against a tree to help break up my outline and to lean on . The round seat is 10 1/2" diameter and fairly comfortable , but having a bad back nothing is comfortable for long without me fidgeting anymore .  Fred
