New Shrew Review
«

June 03, 2010, 09:54:00 PM »
My new Shrew arrived a few days ago after a long 16+ month wait. It is a 56" Classic Hunter TD, 53# @ 28", carbon/foam limbs with curly birch vaneers. I added it to my collection of two Super Shrews. It is a shooter and maybe a hair louder than my whisper quiet SSs with wood limbs. Still a very quiet bow. I personally don't notice it being any smoother than my wood limb Shrews. It does have a little more zip. Arrows that are a tad stiff out of my 54# wood limb bow shoot like darts out of the 53# carbon/foam bow. The Shrews just fit me and I seem to shoot them better than other bows. I went with a grey/black color scheme and figure this will make a good blind bow and a good all around deer bow. My 58" 56# SS is my elk bow and hopefully some day my moose bow. I love the TD for the convenience and a touch more riser mass. I'd probably order another one if the wait wasn't so darn long. Here are some pics.

Shinken, I didn't think I could pull that off again. I thought for sure I would jinx myself with the "Elk" bow, didn't want to push my luck with this one.

Nice bow Mark!! Are you letting other people shoot it yet, or do I need to take a number? LOL
Seen a bruiser scouting last weekend, will post some pics soon.

Congrats on your new bow. It is very distinctive with the gray/black colors. The grip looks so comfortable.

Thanks guys. Jake, looking forward to the scouting pics and come on up and shoot it. After all, you are the one that got me hooked on Shrews. I've shot and owned a bunch of different bows but my two TD Shrews are the only ones I've custom ordered. The wait is torture but it is nice to get exactly what you want.

Congratulations, that's a beautiful bow. I agree with your assessment and my Carbon Classic with carbon/foam is a little "louder" than the my Super Shrew Samurai, but still very quiet bow.
I've got the brown stained curley birch and it makes a beautiful bow and is nice camo to boot.
