Anyone know about a Unico "45" Bow
« on: May 05, 2007, 01:35:00 PM »
Picked up a bow this morning that I have never heard of. I also tried the search feature and didn't find anything.
It is a Unico "45"
1077-5071
064
52#
Can anybody tell me anything about this bow?
Thanks
Kris

I have one also. Says UNICO "45" on the riser. Below the handle, it says 1047-5052  064  56 # . It had an old wrap, like the tape on tennis rackets on the handle. When I took it off, there was date written in pencil.  7\\ 11\\ 53 . I havent been able to find any info on it either.    Tom

Tom,
Thanks for the reply.
Now I will have to take the wrap off of mine to see if there is a date.
Thanks Again

Kris ,  If you find any info on unico let me know. I`ll do the same for you. My bow was in sad shape when I got it. Limb tips were loose, and when I strung it there was a crack in the riser. Glued everything back up and now it`s a sweet shooter. Not fast by any means, but very quiet.

Sounds like mine, it is in my shop right now, with the epoxy drying where the riser was cracked, I got the handle wrap off and it has #29, then 9/15/54. I appears to have been left in the sun as the tan fiberglass has faded.
But it was strung when I bought it and the guy pulled it with no cracking or splitting.
But what can you expect for $2.00
The guys that I hunt with know that anything out of the ordinary appeals to me, so it is right up my alley.
Thanks and if I hear anything I will let you know.
