Made by Manny. I think I understand how by looking at the pictures.

Here's the proof and what impressed me.

If you think you know how he converted picture one to picture 2 please tell me/ verify for me.

Even though it's not a "traditional" product, that SGH from G5 is one bad dude on squirrels and rabbits.  I use them all the time and they fly/act like a judo w/ more knock-down than springs.  What the heck to you bludgen there anyhow?  Good shot!

Those 'Tarantulas' of Manny's are the best, cheap alternative to a judo I've ever come across. I've never taken any game with one (Itend to use the Hammer heads) but they're my go-to stumping head!

Mudd, looks like they slide over a point or blunt, do you know how much additional weight and whether they slide over a 5/16 or 11/32?

Sorry Bowferd but I don't have any information at all about them. It sounds like Robtattoo might be able to educate us on them.

How about it Rob, do you know more about them?

When you cut out the notchs the head weighs84 to 87 grains.
I cut off the sharp point on field and use hot melt glue.tip.

If my memory serves (at the moment it's serving Iced Tea & Lemon cake) they end up weighing in at around 65-75 grains after they're cut up. They slip straight over an 11/32" blunt (or field point with the end filed flat)
They tend to whistle a little, but are fantastic heads, none the less. Just about perfect for treed skwerls, I'd say. Much cheaper than Judos & just as hard to lose.

Here is what Manny(NORTH SHORE, HAWAII) said when I went back to him for more info.

"you cut the pie shaped off to leave you the 8 legs, hence the name TARANTULA    :)    "

3Rivers supplies this....

Here is what goes into making one(my words)

These look like just the ticket for our "tree rats".

God bless,Mudd

PS:Manny is also a man of few words..lol seriously those were all of what he said.. in both of his replies to me..lol

He did good because I now understand.

TTT...I dusted off a tarantula I had in my supply, and gave it the torture test in the adirondack mountains. Pinecones, leaves, sticks, pine duff, rotten stumps, hardwood stumps, rocks. This head was put through the ringer today. Not only did it hold up great, but it failed to slip under all the duff & dirt, no matter how many chances it saw. What a great head!

I'm gonna pick some up, and give it a try.  Couldn't you pour some melted lead into the .38 casing to gain a few extra grains?

I'll pick some up at the Compton shoot next weekend, and give it a shot.  Pardon the pun.
