If I can make it myself I will usually try.  I have tried for a few years now to convince myself that I don't need to pay good money for a few lengths of wool yarn, when I can get my own yarn and do it.  Well, I've tried the craft store stuff (usually has synthetic fiber blended in), I even got on line and found a wool mill and had them send me a skein of their 100% wool yarn.  Figured I had enough material to last me the rest of me life.  It just isn't the same,  haven't found anything that works as well yet,  I just keep coming back to the Bow Hush. Wish I had come up with the idea.

Burnsie,

I'm like you, a do it yourself kind of guy but iwhen it comes to a great product like this I leave it to Terry and the Bowhush gals.

I've said it before and I will say it again. It's all I will ever shoot.

Hmm interesting I have never tried wool or yarn for my bows.  I have been a beaver fan, but after getting into some muskrats this trapping season I just tried that on my bow, and I love it.  But I have been wondering about these synthetics . . . might just have to try them out!!!

Absolutely worth every penny spent.  I had tried quite a few others before I was introduced to the Hush Puppies.  Won't use anything else.

If your going to place an order do it now. Hunting season is just around the corner. They tell me the head man in that outfit likes to hunt come fall. Have "Hush Puppies" on most of my longbows, and "Hush Puppies" and "Bow Hush" on my only recurve. Outstanding product.

Hmmm,

I may have to give em a try sometime.  I am a confirmed muskrat silencer fan.  I like the look and they silence my longbow nicely.  Has anyone ever run a test with a decible meter to see if there is any difference between all the different string silencers?

Ok, I got the hush puppies and bow hush on a string at tested them out. My wife (the ultimate authority on all things ever) says that they make my bow quieter...noticeably so. I think it is quieter. The thing I noticed the most is the duration of sound is shorter. My PSA III, which was a quiet recurve, is now a very quiet recurve.

Mine came in the mail Monday and I put them to the ultimate test, the loudest Widow I've ever laid my hands on. If these didn't work there was going to be a Widow PCH hitting the classifieds fast. Transformed it from a loud unbearable "pop" to a mellow dull "thump". I'm sold
