Shipping arrows over seas ?
«

Anyone that has shipped arrows over seas, how did you package them so that they wouldn't get damaged? I am sure that a regular cardboard arrow box would never make it to Australia.I was thinking of maybe some kind of tubes, but I am not sure that that is the way to go either. Any help would be appreciated.

2nd what Jeff B says. I have shipped a bunch of arrows to Australia and if "arrow safety" is your concern than the plastic pipe is the ticket. I used a section of the black drain pipe.

Sounds good Ben. I am going to check on postage Monday. I just want to make sure that they get there in one piece.

Using internal plugs vs end caps of larger diameter will save you postage.

I have shipped many times to Australia and NZ. I have always used cardboard arrows boxes and never had a problem.

Thanks Paul,
I'm going to give it a try with the cardboard arrow box.

I drive a truck delivering to grocery stores and when we pick up bananas from our vendor they are shipped, stacked very high on the pallets. On each corner there is a plastic piece that looks like a piece of angle iron only it is made from some kind of plastic. These reinforce the corners and keep the boxes from tumbling over in shipment and handling. If you shop at a large grocery store where bananas arrive by the pallet you might ask for some of these corner pieces to reinforce the corners of a regular arrow box.
If that were wrapped with strapping tape it would be pretty much bulletproof.
