Killy, if you do, let me know and we'll meet up and shoot some arrows at stumps. They are pretty slow around here so, the hunting is pretty good. Seems about the only thing I can harvest is a stump!

Ken, I'll do that. I'm telling ya man, as much as we are putting into each year hunting, something out there is going to have to make the ultimate sacrifice for his fellow animals!   :goldtooth:

Bring lots of arrows. You are a lucky man to have an area with so much game to hunt. Those trails are as good as it gets. Thanks for the tour.

Wannabe, you picked a great day for it!  I was stuck in the shop most of the day, but did get out to enjoy the weather a little and shoot my bow.  Great pics, looking forward to seeing some hero pics in a couple of months

That is about all I can manage to sneak up on these days anyway! Sure must be nice to be able to cut loose in country like that. I would likely be arrested for having a strung bow in the Nat'l Forest outside of the season, or some such.

Stumping grounds are hard to find hereabouts.

Thanks Stan. I'm hoping for some hero pics myself.

tw...that looks like an area i hunt over in the grande rhonde area.locked gate on both ends.loaded with elk and deer and plenty of bears too.i miss hunting the coastal range where i grew up but most of my favorite spots are long grown over now.unfortunately carl will not be joining us this year due to health reasons.felix..you will have a blast in burns with us,we will camp in a secluded area that has little traffic going through.i am sure things will be nice and green and the elk fat and sassy.

Thanks everyone. I really enjoyed the time out there yesterday and if all the cards will fall in the right place, this may be my year to bring home the trophy!
