ibex are a dream animal of mine. i'd love to hunt them in mongolia or kyrgzstan along with argali and marco polo sheep.

I don't care who you are or where you're from.... this is an amazing human interest story that someone/anyone would love to read even if they'd never held a bow in they're hand before!

But we brothers and sisters of the bow know precisely the "how" and the "why" of it!

Great story and wonderful pictures with an even greater bond between (at the very least) two real live humans beings, that were continents apart that now share something that will last all of them a lifetime.

Thank you for sharing that with us!!!!

God bless,Mudd

PS: How very Cool is this thread? Way!... I'd say!!! like over the top cool!!!

Happy Anniversary to Colotrad and his bride of 23 years.. only 3 more and you'll have caught up to me and mine...lol

Mudd, this is the spirit of my membership here and in the PBS. I belive in the fraternal aspect of these organizations.
Clinton, the Marco Polo and Argali run around 50,000 US $$$$$ there with good chances to come back with empty hands.Maybe here is easier and much less.

Great pics and thread!  Seems like you can walk right up to them.  Are they hard to hunt...or are these ones just used to people and getting their pic taken?

Not trying to steal the "thunder" of Felix's pix.
They are beautiful!
I travelled to the swiss alps with my wife a few years back, and I stalked up on these.
These rams were right on the edge of a huge dropoff/ledge. I would guess apx. 1000'
Thought I would share my pix of this beautiful animal.

please remember posted image max size is 640, thanx!
