No Bird BUT!! A Great Time Shooting With The Boys

Well I was turkey hunting this weekend here in Michigan with Steve (jacobsladder) and Jason (Whitebuffalo).  Steve was nice enough to have Jason and I out to his place for some private land turkey hunting.  We seen quite a few birds but no shots were fired.  We had one working Saturday about 1:30 and Jason was calling for Steve and I.  The bird worked his way in silent strutting the whole way but always kept some brush between us and him.  He worked into about 15 yards and something spooked him and that was all she wrote.  Sunday we woke up late and the wind was blowing so we thought we would go shoot some 3-D instead.  Here are some pics of our day.

I would like to thank Steve again for the great time he showed me in his home town and giving us a place to crash.  Tradgang has brought the three of us together and I am sure we will be hunting and shooting together for many years to come.

Sorry Brent, I hunted all weekend with the Shrew but decided to take the Bob Lee for a stoll through the 3D today.  You have to take all the dogs for a walk once in a while.  How was your trip to Iowa?

A ways to go yet before all is well (we were thrown yet another disaster at Casa Knipes today) but I am home and that beats the hospital in spades everytime.

It's fixed. Sewer pipe decided to rust through today. Had to pay a plumber to fix it since I have an open wound and don't need another ecoli infection. When it rains it pours, but the good stuff grows when the rains end. Has to be ending soon. lol

Jeff, the MSU hat is my lucky 3D shooting hat besides the green and white are much better colors.  How did Michigan do in March Madness?  Oh thats right they didnt even make it to the show....    Oh and just so you know MSU won the hockey national tournament as well.  Just wanted to make sure you knew about that.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile  :p !  Sure looked like you guys had fun, there is a 3D shoot in Jasons town of Stanton this weekend.  If you get bored maybe we can go fling some arrows?

I'd like to thank jason and tim both for coming and spending time with my family... Jason did an awesome job of calling a beautiful tom in at 12 yds,,,only if we were in the blind!!! I think I'm the one he busted! The next day was a wonderful time at the 3-d course...trad gang put us together!
