Larry, I own both.
I have two German Ridge quivers and one Kanati Pro Angle quiver and - like most things – each has their place. The decision you have to make is, "What is your priority… what purpose is #1 to be met?"
If you're going to be stump shooting/walking, or 3D... then I feel the Kanati is the best, bar none! I like the quivers and I like the gent who makes 'em.
Now, the Kanati bow quiver for tree stand hunting / take on and off? Well, all I can tell you is that when those knobs fall from 20 feet up (yes, I have "FFS" (aka - Fumble Finger Syndrome)... well, the knobs are hard to find... sometimes, but there isn’t a lot of noise when they hit.
As for me when I treestand hunt... I want something quick on and off because I hang my bow quiver on a hook next to me. If you’re like me, I suggest you go with the German Ridge.
Now, shooting with a German Ridge as you walk / stalk? I tried it before, and I don't recommend it. Yes, the GR does clip on and does stay on, but it sits out to far. To me, the balance between the bow and the quiver... well, awkward.
Noisy? If noise bothers you... go Kanati, period, NO DISCUSSION.
Just my opinion.
