Welp, I wasn't lucky enough this year either. 2-drawings left(NH,VT.)

I think Biggie pursuaded them with pound cake! Congrats Biggie!

Unreal.  This isn't supposed to happen!
Dang it! Now I'll have to plug in the treadmill.I was looking forward to a nice easy season of hunting from treestands and groundblinds.

Yes folks, I jumped the gun...expecting the same old usual results.

I was feeling pretty down yesterday...and called a buddy who was in Freeport for the good times....I called him pretty early and told him to have a lobster roll for me.....in his usual wit, he reminded me there was no luck in the cards for me this year (with MUCH MORE colorful Maine prose).

I thanked my good bud for those words of wisdom and postive outlook.  Later, while not giving much thought to time, I checked the web site....the link must have taken me to last year's results.  Ahhhh....gettin' old here.

Anyhow, I checked again late last night (should have checked the replies to this post earlier).  Amazing...       ..I drew a cow permit for the WMD just north of where our camp is located.

I called my Maine buddy up to rub it in and to give him crap for not calling me back....he hadn't been paying much attention to the drawing. My mood had obviously changed for the better, so I couldn't rub it in too bad or give him too much crap.

Also, CONGRATS to Biggie......Zone 2.....it won't be hard to find a nice bull there!    :clapper:

Congrats to those who drew a permit! I also have failed to do so AGAIN. I must have the most preference points on record!

Biggie-

I've never met you, but I took a moose with Eldon a couple of years back. I've heard and read the story of your last Maine moose hunt. When I found out I didn't draw, I checked your name just for fun.  I can honestly say that I was almost as excited to see that you'd drawn again as if I'd drawn myself.  Best of luck and I'll hunt vicariously through you this fall!
