« on: June 18, 2010, 12:51:00 PM »
well its the 18th and im schedualled to have now my left hand carpule tunnel sergery . i just had the right done on the 21st last month . and it went very well ...lol i was shooting my 27 lb training bow three days later an my hunting bow in two weeks . though that was my drawing hand and this is the bow hand .... im afraid its a different story . it herts pretty bad to put the bow on the scar on the right side even still .and im wanting to shoot the last leg of the western states tripple crown . this is end of july . well i figure i have like 5 weeks it mend and hopefully a couple weeks before that to get some practice in .

well if it doesnt work out than ill just look forward to mulies in fall. thats what its all about anyway . the "hunt" though i really love 3-d's ...

so anyway wish me luck . im schedualled for 3:00pm AZ time.  :wavey:

Good luck. My dad is contemplating CT surgery too, but he's trying to put it off. I say, get it done and sleep better at night.

Anyhow, hope you heal up fast and get back to launching arrows.

You know they can do that with out cutting... Ortheoscopic (sp) is the new way to do it and healing time is way less.

Just curious if you tried physical therapy and if it helped at all? Ive seen several patients have great success with it, and others not so much. Im going to school to be one,  :)

I've had it done on both hands and was back to work as an automotive mechanic in 3 days. First time I banged a hubcap on with my bare hand I knew better than to do that again. You'll be fine for the shoot. What some people don't understand is that putting it off can result in permanent damage and inability to use your hands for the rest of your life.Frank

Been there done that.   Don't worry.  You will be shooting in no time.  You may have some pain, but my doc said the pain isn't doing damage, it is only healing.

Also it was one of the best decisions I made.   I laid awake many nites before I did this, it wasn't worth it.
