Need shoot trophy ideas...

I'm head of the"commitee" to design and build the trophies for the TBOF Florida State Championship shoot next spring. We need some ideas/photos of items others have done. We used to build arrow placques of different types. We're thinking of trying to do some type of bowrack. I have a decent woodshop so thats not a problem. Let me see what you've made or won! Thanks, Rick.

I did these for one of our club shoots this year. Not the best but a idea.
. They were acrylic on sand stone, all hand painted about 50 of them. I think if I was going to do it agian I would just do a print of the painting and lacquer it to the flagstone to save time. I would think it would be real easy to do on a wood plaque or thin slice log rounds, paint or wood burn in the words.

How about a wooden orange with an arrow through it.After all Florida is known for oranges.

I really don't like trophies. When I was field trialing bird dogs sometimes the trophies would be gift cards, which I really liked. How about 3 rivers gift cards?

Michigan Bowhunters used to have the state of Michigan, including the Upper Peninsula cut out of wood with the MBH logo attached to the middle of the lower peninsula. The trophy stood about 12" tall and had a wooden base. I could take a photo of them and m ail them to you. Can't do e-mail photos. You could do the same with the state of Florida.
Little sis was a state champion archer and has a box of these old trophies. She tossed them out so I grabbed them to hold for her.

When I played competative league soccer they would give out pins (not pens) at the tournaments for the finalists. I liked them because they were small and you could diplay them in a lot of different ways. I always thought those would be nice for archery shoots. They would be cheap for the club (I think) and the winners could stick them on quivers, jackets, or just stick them to something in the man cave. Nice little momento in my opinion.

I like the pins too, we have them out here and I put the ones I win on my quiver. A little archery bling. The trophys end up collecting dust.

I like the idea of a can of Spam. Good one Donnie!
There is a local trophy shop that can laser engrave any design you provide onto wood - including photos. You could come up with something and have such a shop laser it onto plaques of nice wood.

Several of the larger shoots in this area do belt buckles. I know that several people enjoy those.

you could make a small arrow rack to hold one arrow. Then make a snake skin wrapped cedar self arrow with natural trukey feathers and a flint head. My buddy won one last year, it is sweet.

How about having Ryan Steadman make a championship decal with the shoot name and the event and the winners name,or just champion 2011.You get my drift. It would look cool on a hunting truck and a t-shirt to match.Or maybe a 12-18" traditional bow with an arrow nocked mounted to a base like an Oscar but a vertical bow and arrow.
