What is your Holy Grail longbow or recurve? Show us a photo.
It has everything you like in a bow;
You love to shoot it.
You love its beauty.
The first shot hits where you look.
I will start off with mine;
Bob Morrision "Dakota" one piece/ 45#@28 and 62" length.

My Big Jim Buffalo bow, one piece, 60", 51# @ 28" It's smooth, fast, quiet, and shoots where I look. Oh and it's the most beautiful bow I've ever seen.

I've tried A LOT of different bows before finding the Buffalo bow. 2nd place goes to Whisperstik Voodoostik. I love mine but wish it were a little heavier draw.

For now, until something better comes along, it would be my Morrison. Morrison is the only bow I ever really regret getting rid of and now that I have this one, it stays!

Morrison Shawnee, A-riser... medium grip with 1/2 pinecones, masur birch riser with bocote flare, E-limbs... Carbon foam limbs with copperheads.
Have a couple of others with the same riser/limb combo that shoot as good but me and this one have history...

I like my Toelke Whip. I lost it once but was very,very lucky and got it back again. 62" 56@27 3/4 I don't draw as short as I once did. Quiet,pretty quick and dead in the hand. Not to mention Dan is a heck of a guy.

I used to be in search of the Holy Grail bow, and it involved buying several bows a year. Now my Holy Grail is the next one I build, because it'll be better and/or more interesting than the last one, though certainly not as good as I could buy. Got a bunch of old Holy Grails hanging on the wall... 2 Widows, Berry, Pronghorn and five Hills... gotta remember to dust those off this week...

A older Jack Harrison El Lobo, 62", 60# @ 28", tonkin bamboo and double carbon. Crocodile wrap, diamondback skins and buffalo tips. I wouldn't sell it for any amount of money.

I actually love the bows I have now but have to say they aren't my "Holy Grail" of bows, it just isn't possible because there are too many others out there that I've never even held in my hand much less shot.
There it is!!.....

Didn't get it yet...but it would have to be an Ed Holcomb 60", 50# "Firedrake" bow. Certainly the bost beautiful bow I know of....riser of cocobolo, bacote'maple and purpleheart accents. Limbs of zebrawood and brownglass. black micarta and bacote limbtips....all finished in Eds perfect finish! Cant wait...will send pics when i get it!Oh' this is merely a longer version of his "Drake" 54" "hunter flight" bow....awesome stuff for those who like fancy bows..

I am currently very pleased with my Timberhawk recurve that I picked up used here on tradgang. I had one a few years back and shot it well, but the continued pursuit of the "holy grail" of bows found me trading it off and then trying to buy it back. Grip on this bow just melts into my hand!
When times get better for me financially, I would like to buy another set of limbs for it. Only decent photo I have of her-

If there was such a bow, we would only have one bowyer, and one style...

The more bows I try, the more I realize there in no Holy Grail for me, just good days and bad days of shooting. But it is fun trying out new bows and finding the ones that "agree" with me.

I feel the same way as Dick on page 1. Each one I build gets better and as soon as I'm done with one I'm thinking about the next. I hope I never find the Holy Grail because then I'd have to take up golf or something.
