Compton photos (C Kerley)
« on: June 21, 2010, 06:12:00 PM »
Thought I'd post up some of our camp pics from Compton.  I make my family vacation from Springfield, MO each year to make this trek.  My only regret is it isn't long enough, even though I get there on Wed night.

This was "home" for four days...

And our daughters.  Mine on the left (Caitlin) and her's on the right (Shelbi).
That is Colton sitting with them.  Blowing on the fire is Simon.  Colton and Simon hung out with the girls all week, and I believe Colton is "liljake" on here.  I believe these four floated down the St Joe river about 96 times!

Simon and his dad, Robert (below), are from Australia.  They came to the U.S. on a 7 week archery tour doing the Black Widow clinic (where I met them), Byron Ferguson school, Compton, Flatrock, and another 10 or so events.  I tried to talk Robert into posting the entire story on here, but he told me he only reads and has never posted.  Well, Robert, I just called you out!

Regina talked the iron worker vendor into selling her one of their storage boxes.  Then I had to find a spot in the Durango to haul the darn thing 12 hours back home.

Robert telling a tall tale.  With that Australian talk, more than once I had to say, "hang on, what did you just say?"

And that's Brian, Bel007, to the right.
