I met a "Stupid Little Fat Kid" at Comptons
« on: June 21, 2010, 10:03:00 PM »
So says some folks.

The kid I met wasn't really stupid. He fleeced me for $40.

He ain't fat no more either, but he sure can pack away the groceries.

And little? Course I hear everybody's little next to Rob, but this kid's gettin close to 6 ft.

His Daddy sure did a good job bringin him up. Respectful and polite to most folks.

Emma and Adam are in the "Respectful and polite" crowd too. Nice work on those kidos Kenny! It was a pleasure having them around camp.

They both think the world of you too Shaun. Emma said to tell you Thanks again for the B-50. Adam is on my case to resize his arrow nocks to fit the new string better. He didn't tell me till later that they didn't fit.

Thanks for everything.

Compton is all about kids and families, and it sure was a pleasure to have the ones we did in our camp.  I just loved having them around and miss them already.
Looking forward to more of the same next month at Denton!

As an elementary teacher I have stayed away from the kid shooting events in the past. Just felt like I needed a break from the booger-eaters! Larry Hudson asked if i would help out Saturday and i agreed. What a blast. The kids I worked with were 9 year olds and were attentive and respectful. Most of them have great fundamentals already and they all seemed to have fun. Compton's really is a great place for trad archers of all ages. A wonderful family traditon to have for a summer vacation too.

*Ahem*  :D

I assume you're talking about the walking food disposal unit that is NoCams Jr.?

Mason's a blast isn't he!  :D  One of the coolest kids I've ever met & not punched (yet) He really is a credit to his Folks. If all kids were guarenteed to turn out like he & Skyler, I may consider building one myself!

Kenny,
I will see if I can get you a buddy pass on Southwest Airlines for Compton 2011.....

Folks, this is for 4runr to fly down to TN just to make the road trip BACK up to Compton !!! He said it would be worth it just to listen to Robbie and Mason bantering back and forth at each other as we drive up to Compton.

Mason and Skyler sure have a good time hangin with Rob, he is a blast. The UK is diminished now that we have him here in the USA. Only wished we could have moved him here quicker !

Rob, we sure had a good time at your expense. Mason had " Story time about Rob" on Saturday night. We laughed ourselves silly. His accent and facial expressions added to it.

Adam is still walking around saying " Mummy, Mummy, there's a Rhinosourus on the car!"

Oh sure, Kenny - reports of fun all over the countryside - but now you can't make ATAR, huh? Traitor! You hearing this Killie??? I can't help but wonder if they'll ever let him back into WV again.   ;)
