Poundcake Tippit Knife
« on: June 27, 2010, 08:11:00 PM »
The shareholders were certified and the list was finally sent to Little D.  Her brother and I helped prepare them for the drawing.  I was drooling on myself just thinking about a Tippit knife as evidenced by my shirt....

The excitement was building like a tidal wave.  Questions from the onlookers were things like "Is that Biggie dude in here Dad?" or "How bout the dude that made us those arrows?"

Just one, Delaney, only one please....

Congratulations Tony!!!!!!!!!
The old order is passing. Swiftly receding into memory are the days of strong, earnest men who followed an atavistic yearning to pit their skills against wild animals.

I'm overwhelmed!!!!!!!!  I promise to put it to good use........

Thank you all.........especially Lil' D....YOU got this all started!  And Tippet.....you've essentially added "icing" to those pound cakes...(which I'm sure are amazingly delicious!)....Thank You for your generousity.

This auction, and the pound cake auction in particular, was beyond expectations.....I'm sure everyone had as much fun as I did.  Utimately, thanks to the generousity of a bunch of super individuals with a common interest in traditional bowhunting, $100K+ was generated for some worthy young folks at St. Jude's.  That alone speaks volumes of the people of TradGang!  I'm humbled to just be part of it.  My hat is off to each and everyone one of you.

Thank you again Lil' D for starting this all (and having the "sticky" fingers that drew my name out of the hat!) and Tippet for crafting and donating your magic!

That treasure is going to a heck of a nice guy! A Tippit knife sure would be a classically Trad way to make the cut on an Opus X, eh?   :wavey:
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.
