Safari Tuff Duiker?

Anyone using the Safari Tuff Duiker? I am looking at the Safari Tuff Arrowmaster and the Duiker and just cant decide which one I want. Any pro's and con's on either would be appreciated.

have both, use both.  THE best back/side quiver around!

for shooting events and roving i use the arrowmaster, cause the pouch is big enuf to hold all the stuff i need, and i wear a holster pouch for the obligatory water bottle.

for hunts i use the lighter weight, smaller duiker, since i also need to pack a lot more stuff i use a large fanny pack and don't need the quiver pouch.

either quiver - arrowmaster or duiker - will get the job done in style!

That pretty well covers it.  I use the original Arrowmaster, for tournaments and hunting.  If you use a fanny pack or something similar, and don't want to carry a ton of arrows, the Duiker will work just fine.  I like the pocket on the original and have gotten used to having it.  If I'd started with a Duiker, I probably would have stuck with it.  

'Course Rob has the best solution--get both--you'll use them.

I'd die without the pocket on the Arrowmaster. I usually have everything but the kitchen sink in there...

I have been thinking about the same thing.  I don't need the pocket, but the Duiker doesn't have the storm flap or drain tube.  For hunting it seems like those would be features you would want.  Your thoughts?  Thanks

Storm cap is available...I think I paid $10.00 for it.... drill a 3/16 hole in the bottom on the lowest point of the bottom plate and go up thru the foam...voila!!! A drain tube...

I'm verry happy with my Duiker quiver

Hey thanks for all the input guys. I am leaning towards the Duiker with the storm cap. I just think it is going to be easier to move around in the woods.

you almost won't even know the duiker is on yer back - super lite and comfy ... and quiet!  

fwiw, i have the storm cover for both the arrowmaster and duiker, and even in a light rain haven't had a need to use one.  

in a pinch, a small plastic baggy makes a perfect fletch cover for the duiker.

Whats the measurements of the pocket on the arrowmaster?

5.5" x 10.5" (approximately)  Big enough to put more crap than you need to carry in a quiver in....

LBR thanks for measuring your pocket. I think I am going to go ahead and get one of each. My wife could always use one or the other depending on which one I choose.

I have the arrowmaster and it just seems to fit nicely and comfortable, I am sure the Duiker would be the same.

I am also looking at one of these, probably leaning towards the Duiker, just one query, what is the number of arrows you can stuff in each? is the duiker that much smaller in capacity ?

I think with broadheads, depending on 2 vs. 3/4 blades would be 4-6 max.

I do love the pocket on my arrowmaster. I suggested to Rod last weekend that he put a small pocket on the duiker and maybe build a knife sheath into the strap...got the impression I wasn't the first to suggest those.

He did tell me a new improved model will be coming out (not sure if in the duiker or arrowmaster version). Not sure of the time frame though. He's got a lot of travel this year...maybe I do need a second one...

Wal, just saw where you are. Rod's down under for a few weeks to do some hunting and a couple classes...I just took his clinic at 3 Rivers and I was amazed at how much I learned and now can improve!

Great timing on this thread..I too was in the same decision.  My son has the arrowmaster which I have used, and that side pocker really can stock a lot of goodies that you need close at hand.  But based upon the comments here, if I can only have one, I am leaning towards the Duiker.
