There are 10 acres in our little plot of ground that the church sits on. It's just a plain piece of typical Missouri good pasture/hay field that we apparently give the hay off of just to keep it cut.
Anyway last Sunday after church the neighbor farmer was out there wind rowing it a second time, just to make sure it was dry enough to bale.
I decided to have a little chat with him about the possibility of leaving one of the big round bales. I explained to him my purpose and how I wanted to teach a few young men what it was like to shoot long distances.
Long story shortened, I was so pleased when I arrived at church a little bit early Wednesday evening and there facing exactly as I had said would be best for us to use was the big bale target.
It just so happens that I had brought with me enough bows and brightly colored arrows that 3 young men and myself could have a blast shooting.
Have a blast we did! Darn I sure wish I had brought my camera along. We were shooting at 175 yards and I still somehow managed to over shoot it by about 5 yds..lol
I was grateful to Josh for being a little more mindful than I or any of the others were. He had to bring it to our attention that even though it felt as we had just gotten there(5pm) that our Wednesday evening study was about to start as it was now 7:25 pm..lol
Time sure does fly when you're having fun!!
That was just about as much fun as a fella could ask for and keep most of his clothes on..lol
Thanks for your time!
God bless
