could someone tell me what spine easton aluminum arrow i need for a 58# recurve with my draw length of 27.5'' using 125 gr. tips.thanks,rich

Go to this link:  http://heilakka.com/stumiller/  and download the calculator.  It'll get you close.  You'll need to know how close to center your shelf is and what type of string you have.

I did a quick calculation for you.  If your bow is cut to center and you're using a 14 strand FF string, a 30" 2018 will work with a 125 grain point. You'll probably need to fine tune with the length, but it should get you close.

There are a bunch of varibles involved but I think a 2216 would be a good starting point.

I would lean towards the weaker shaft. That way if it's too weak you can always add material to the side plate to make it act stiffer. It's easier to tune a weak arrow than it is to tune a stiff arrow without having to buy more stuff to add up front. At least with a weak arrow you can add more strike plate material or cut the arrow shorter to make it stiffer. Unless of course you wanna have an arrow with EFOC, in which case you would want to start with a shaft slightly on the stiff side. But, that's a whole different ballgame altogether. Until then, I would err on the side of slightly weak and try the 2018s.
